Introduction

 Hi my name is Tyler Greenly and in case you didn't figure it out already this is a blog on ecology and my experiences in it.

 Just in case you don't know what ecology is it is the study of an ecosystem and the relationships between the animals in that ecosystem. An ecologist studies life possesses and adaptions of the organisms in the environment, the distributions and abundance of the organisms, the movement of materials and energy through communities, the seccessional development of an ecosystem and the abundance and distribution of biodiversity in context of the environment. Well there it is what ecologists do and what is ecology.

Well any way, this is my dream, to become an ecologist and to travel to places where you will find really bio-diverse place. Places that come to mind are Africa, India, Brazil, and Costa Rica. There are many different types of ecology as well, there is hierarchical ecology, community ecology,  population ecology. and many more. I want to study one of these three or may be several of them: hierarchical ecology, ecosystem ecology, and biodiversity.

Hierarchical ecology is basically biological organization.Its the study of different levels of organization all the way down to an atom all the way up to biospheres.

Ecosystem ecology is the study of the relationships within an ecosystem and between the animals in them. A common model this are food webs or food chains and they basically exsplane what eats what. Another model is trophic levels which also show who eats who and the food chain.

Biodiversity is the study of how diverse a ecosytem is. Its the study of species diversity, ecosystem, diversity, genetic diversity and so on.

Well now you know what ecology is and what ecologists do. It is easy to see that i want to study and major in ecology. And finally you can see that i want to major in hierarchical ecology, ecosystem ecology or biodiversity. Well hopefully next blog i don't lecture you to much and i tell you about some of my experiences going in to the wild and woods.
